Because they are often difficult to orchestrate, many compositions from the first half of the 20th century are rarely performed. In recent years, a group of musicians has formed around pianist Nadezda Tseluykina in collaboration with the Othmar Schoeck Festival. They are intensively engaged with the musical languages of the 20th century and committed to providing excellent interpretations of the works.

New York-based composer Jeremy Gill has commissioned works in recent years for the Boston Modern Orchestra Project, the Chautauqua Opera Company, the Dallas Symphony, the Eastman School of Music, and the New York Classical Players. His compositions have been performed in the USA, the Czech Republic, Denmark, England, Germany, Italy, and Poland. In 2023, Jeremy Gill was Composer in Residence at Villa Schoeck.
