Toonkunst Caecilia performs the St. John Passion and is accompanied by the baroque orchestra Florilegium Musicum. The whole is led by conductor Iassen Raykov.

The St. John Passion is approximately 30-45 minutes shorter than the St. Matthew Passion. Bach wrote far fewer arias and far more choral singing in the St. John Passion than in the St. Matthew Passion. And that means that you will hear Caecilia often! The St. John Passion is an absolute masterpiece that is becoming increasingly popular and is therefore performed more often.
