St. Matthew Passion
Bach's St. Matthew Passion is one of the most powerful and moving expressions of the Passion of Christ. From the first notes to the breathtaking final chorus, Bach has loaded the entire score with numerous subtle symbolic references to the words of the Gospel of Matthew by playing with numbers and harmonizations.

Bachkoor Holland will perform the St. Matthew Passion three times during two evening concerts and an afternoon concert. The concert on Good Friday in Delft consists of two parts with a long lunch break in between. The church will open to the public one hour before the start of each concert.
